“I told him he should have gotten a bat house!”

Building a Better Bat House
When roofers Ron and Gregg Bates set out in 2006 to build their sister the best bat house possible, they started with research. It didn’t take them long to learn that bats have some very particular preferences, and that Sis’ request for a house for the funny little things made a lot of sense from a pest-control point of view.
In partnership with Bat Conservation International, the world’s foremost authority on protecting bat species, they designed and built their first Bat House with an eye to providing the ultimate home-away-from-home for Little Brown Bats, the most common species in Canada. Years later, Canadian Bat Houses manufactures three models of bat house for different-sized pest control challenges, all designed to be long-lasting, maintenance-free and as attractive to bats as a man-made structure can be.
